We have been forced to move our website to a new address. Don’t worry, it’s not that hard to remember, as we are now just at treacherousorchestra.co.uk instead of at .com
Some nice person decided to register our .com domain name when it lapsed (via GoDaddy’s automated systems set up for this purpose it appears). This seems to have happened literally while we were doing our Celtic Connections show – with all notifications being sent to an outdated email address (aaaaarrrrgggghhh). And of course GoDaddy will help us get it back for a min investigatory fee of ca. £70 + the cost the unscrupulous squatting registrant wants – incidentally they have plonked a gambling site there in the mean time! Oh! we love this world and it’s actually quite a funny story to tell if it didn’t take so much time and pain to move the new site.
Hopefully all this crap will disappear in time when google will re-index our site and you will end up at treacherousorchestra.co.uk while looking for us instead of at a germ’s domain name squatting site.
It would have been easy to disseminate the above site url change via Facebook of course but that’s another funny story!! We are still fighting to try and regain our Facebook a/c after a hacker take over (and not hacker in the good sense of the word, as he a complete arse and has sent abusive messages to some of you nice people). FB are making things really difficult of course and it is proving nearly impossible to take it back.
I suppose it would be good if we had better news for you like gigs and stuff but there is nothing on the horizon just yet. Though we were asked about doing a few shows except we all weren’t available and thought it unfair to do them. But we are definitely not gone and still here for a chat if you feel the need!
